Tikkun Olam

(Hebrew: תיקון עולם‎, English: Repair the World)

I am a strong believer in the concept of Tikkun Olam, Hebrew for “repair the world”. The world really needs it. Between Trump, Climate Change, diseases, local school needs, music programs, medical research, wildlife protection, and Trump (I guess I said him twice) there are many causes which I feel very strongly about and try and support.

City Winery

City Winery provides donations whenever possible — be it space, wine or experiences — and is devoted to sparking world change by contributing to large scale humanitarian causes and disaster relief efforts. In 2018, Michael’s commitment to combat the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria lead the City Winery team to Puerto Rico to help rebuild communities, plant crops and share a little love. While there, the team built a “Stage of Joy” where they served up food, music, and of course, wine, to bring some much-needed happiness to Puerto Rican farmers and relief volunteers.

Support Puerto Rico

As a proactive post-crisis follow up, City Winery is raising donations to support the Solar Responders project, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide first responder stations with reliable solar power so firefighters and police officers can continue to save lives during a storm.
